Just wanted to share with you that the good folks over at CGTantra are holding a matte painting competition based on the mythology of Utherworlds. The focus of the challenge is on the Dream Realm and more specifically on the Lands of Unohla. There's already a lively discussion on the subject over there so if you have a moment take a look and maybe even join in the fun- they have some pretty good prizes too.

CGSociety: Lord of the Rings Art Direction Feature
The CGSociety recently did a nice little feature on the concept art and art direction of the Warner Brothers game release LOTR: War in the North.
